Most people don't like wandering into a crowd of strangers. Yet that's what we challenge you to do. If you feel out of sync in your life's journey in your family...in your job...with God...we offer our friendship to walk with you as you find the way back. It's your journey, but we all walk paths with similar shared experiences.
C.S. Lewis describes friendship like this: “Friendship is born at the moment when one man says to another 'What! You too? I thought that no one but myself.'”
F.I.R.E. Ministries exists to affirm the unique gifts in each guy we meet, and to enkindle hope and purpose in those we now call friends. Our mission strengthens men in their walk with Jesus in an active, outdoor, masculine experience.
We are catholic in our ministry, part of our Catholic church and yet not affiliated with a specific parish. Call us a bootstrap ministry. We believe that an invitation accepted by a curious, questioning, lonely, or dispirited man may inspire him to better understand and be confident in his gifts. Like a pebble tossed into a pond whose ripples rush across the water, that man then inspires another to find his way.
Together we work to improve our world, following the example of Christ. "A new commandment I give to you: that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” (John 13:34-35)

A man joining us on the annual F.I.R.E. retreat can expect something to blow up and something to burn down. Anticipate physical challenges, spiritual pyrotechnics, rich conversations, great food, contemporary music, funny stories, and an abundance of F.I.R.E.
Feeling lost or a bit alone? We invite you to join us in Fellowship with other Christian men seeking to understand our purpose in this upside down world. Be Inspired by the canvas of God's creation at Prairie Star Ranch - 300 acres of lakes, creeks, trees, wild turkeys and wildlife. Be Renewed as we share the sacraments, sit in silent prayer, and converse with other dads, sons and husbands seeking to better know God as we hike the sometimes rocky trails of our lives. Return to your home, to your workplace, to your church community and Engage as an authentic Christian man with the gifts that God endowed specifically in you on the day He created you.
